Lunar New Year, also knowns as Chinese New Year lands on Jan. 25 in 2020, and is celebrated by more than 20 percent of the world’s population.
Chinese Lion Dancing has been a traditional way to bring prosperity and blessings to important events for centuries. This year, Sun Wah Centre was proud to host a Lion Dance fundraiser event organized by BC Artscape on January 20th.
The lion dancers are average 11 years old from Yarrow Intergeneration Society for Justice to fundraise for their youth and seniors programs.
