The Chinese New Year event organized by the Sun Wah Centre and Disability Club Benevolent Society, “Welcome Lunar New Year with God of Wealth” was successfully held on March 6th, 2021 and we received many positive feedback from the public.
This event was promoted by various media, such as CBC News, Fairchild TV and Singtao Chinese Newspaper. Before the start time, many people had lined up in an orderly manner and practiced social distancing at the event location. Everyone was waiting to spin the wheel of fortune, get red packets and gifts. It is calculated that more than 900 red envelopes and over 1,000 sponsored gifts have been given to the public.
There were more than 50 sponsors participating in this event. We truly appreciate everyone who spent time and effort to support the event. We couldn’t have made it through without your support, especially during the pandemic. Your support made the event an unprecedented success.
In addition, we have to thank Mr. Ieong Haicheng for playing the role of the God of Wealth and greeting guests in Chinatown.
